A Dragon for Dexter
At High End Vienna 2026, the show’s first edition in Austria, our room was awarded a Dragon of the Exhibition — High Fidelity‘s new recognition for the finest rooms at the show. Dexter Quintet and Dexter Duo were heard in public for the first time, alongside the wider Dexter range making its world premiere.
The award is new this year. Six statuettes, conceived as a “best of the best” alongside High Fidelity’s long-running Best of Show, presented for the first time by Wojciech Pacuła, editor of one of Europe’s most respected high-end publications. Vienna was both the award’s debut and Dexter’s.
Four models made their world premiere at the show: Dexter Duo, the stand-mount, and three floorstanders — Trio, Quartet, and Quintet. In the demonstration room, Dexter Quintet and Dexter Duo were driven by Goldmund electronics, with sources from TechDAS and Innuos. Signal was carried by Jorma Statement Encore. Pacuła’s citation was brief. The sound, he wrote, was super-precise yet full and faithful, with excellent dynamics. For loudspeakers heard in public for the first time, in an unfamiliar room, on the strength of a single press session, it is the kind of observation we take seriously.
Dexter is its own range. A 1″ pure diamond tweeter, developed at the top of our line. A triple-layer M-Core cabinet, and our Loaded Reflex Line bass system, both new. Vienna was the first opportunity for that work to be heard, and weighed, by ears outside the team who built it.
