At the end of last year Mingus Septet was shown to exceptional crowds at the Taipei International Audio Show.

Mid-December brought many overseas and domestic visitors to the capital of Taiwan—a place that embodies a diverse musical spirit. From traditional echoes in ancient temples to the beats of contemporary scenes, the city’s music reflects a fusion of influences. With venues ranging from the National Concert Hall to underground spaces in Ximending, Taipei’s dynamic sound mirrors its gritty, authentic energy—a testament to the island’s evolving musical legacy.

The annual event—in its 44th iteration—was held at The Grand Hotel.
